Top Employer 2020 Certification

For the fifth consecutive year, GM China has been awarded Top Employers China certification by the Top Employers Institute.

GM China was honored for providing exceptional employee conditions, and nurturing and developing talent throughout all levels of the organization, according to Top Employers’ comprehensive independent research. GM China also demonstrated its leadership status in the human resources environment, striving to optimize its employment practices and develop its employees.

Top Employers certification is only awarded to the best employers around the world – companies that demonstrate the highest standards of employee offerings. The Top Employers Institute’s research assesses all critical areas of the human resources environment, certifying organizations that can demonstrate they are continuously optimizing employee conditions and leading the way in the development of their people.

Personal & Professional Growth

Learning at GM China is a continuous process. GM China fosters and facilitates this process in all of its employees by providing a comprehensive range of training, education and development programs. Aligning itself with GM’s global Talent and Development strategies, the GM China Talent and Development team also plans, organizes and develops various kinds of talent and development training/programs that combine the Leadership Effectiveness Series and Professional Learning Series.

GM China-Sponsored Studies

To encourage Personal & Professional development, GM China supports employees who wish to undertake external courses that are of mutual benefit to the company and employees. Employees may be granted financial assistance and/or study leave to receive accredited qualification at recognized learning institutions.

China Mentoring Program

LMP-China is a program that partners local GM employees in China with senior or more experienced GM employees based in China. The primary objective of this program is to assist local employees’ professional development by providing helpful advice and insight from more seasoned employees.
